Subject: Top Notch Set List
The best version of Shakedown Street I have ever heard opens this show. Awesome version of Dupree. This concert just rocks the house from the opening notes.

Subject: Dupree's Diamond Blues
This is a great matrix sbd of a great show that gets overlooked and should be put out there by Dave's Picks. I went to all the MSG shows after 79 and this one stands out for me very much because of the Dupree's and the IAON after it. Don;t get me wrong, the Shakedown was awesome but when they played Dupree'the whole show went up a notch and the Garden was strapped in for the ride.Just listen to Jerry's struming at the end of on Good Times and you know what I mean. I was tripping my balls off this night and could only remember what I stated about the Dupree's but I do remember what crazy good time everybody had in my section for this show. When it all ended we made it out into the cool autumn night of Manhattan and I remember WPLJ had some people giving out these Stealie stickers that were like patches endorsing the station and the 2 nights the Dead were playing MSG. Another cerebreal evening with the greatest band in the world! 5 star for the show and 5 for the great recording.Put the headphones on for this one and get ready for a good ride.

How did I miss this show? I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I'm an old schooler that has been stuck in the seventies too long. This show is unbelievable. This show just took the #1 spot for the 80's for me.Opening with Shakedown and closing with Touch - awesome.

Not only is the setlist perfect, but the boys are full-on charged in this show right outta the gate with Brent leading the way. And finally, just when you couldn't imagine this show getting any better, along comes Hunter who adds his brand of magic to it. Hats off to you good sir, this is delicious!

In fact, I think I'm gonna put this show in my top 10 list - it's that good.

Everything Hunter Seamons touches turns to gold. I've dumped all my old copies to replace them with his.

Way to go!!

Subject: Go Brent, Go
From the opening notes, Brent is right on target. He is playful and seems to bring the rest of the band with him. By the time Shakedown is half way over, the rest of the boys have caught his fever.
The sound is great and the setlist superb. Nice addition to my collection. Thanks for adding it to the archive.
